The year 2022 represents for the National Art Museum Timișoara the 150th anniversary of museum heritage, 150 years since the foundation of the Timișoara museum was laid by Ormós Zsigmond. Prefect of Timiș County and art collector, Ormós Zsigmond was also a passionate traveler. The purpose of his numerous journeys was the permanent and perpetual enrichment of his art collection, which he bequeathed to the Timișoara Museum. Thus, the 15 works from the heritage of the National Art Museum Timișoara, included in the database of the digital museum Mico-Folie, will travel virtually around the world, like Ormós Zsigmond.
Alin Nica, President of the Timis County Council, Filip A. Petcu, Director of the National Art Museum Timisoara, Tilla Rudel, Director of the French Institute Timisoara and Julien Chiappone Lucchesi, Director of the French Institute of Romania, will open the event.
