MNArT Open View

Decorative Art Depot

MNART Open View is an innovative initiative of the National Art Museum Timisoara, which aims to offer the public a unique perspective on the process of storage, conservation and management of museum collections. Through a specially-designed glass wall, visitors can see what a museum warehouse for decorative art looks like.

This initiative is a way of promoting transparency and public outreach, providing a behind-the-scenes look behind the scenes and revealing important aspects of collections management. Visitors can see how art objects are stored and organized, how conservation principles are applied and how measures are taken to protect against deterioration. MNART Open View is an opportunity to appreciate the efforts of the museum’s specialists in the care and conservation of art, and to encourage appreciation and protection of cultural heritage.
