Launch of the catalog “Timisoara – Portrait of a City” at the National Art Museum Timisoara

On Friday, October 13, in the Baroque Hall of the National Art Museum Timisoara, the catalog “Timisoara – Portrait of a City” will be launched. This event will be the final part of the exhibition of the same name, an exhibition that represented an incursion into the history and culture of the urban space that in 2023 had the honor of hosting the European Capital of Culture event.

To the joy of the museum, the public of Timișoara was pleasantly impressed by this exhibition, savoring the images of such familiar places, as well as historical events learned from textbooks and ancestors. Thus, the museum’s wish to capture a part of the spirit of the city on the Bega and to emphasize the importance of the city itself in the year of the European Capital of Culture was fulfilled. The works from the museum’s collections, realized by the masters of art from the Banat region, were presented together with the works of art of exceptional contemporary artists, thus outlining this “Portrait”, this overall image of Timișoara.

Attendance at the catalog launch, which serves as the finishing touch to this exhibition, is by invitation only.
